In a nutshell

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated senior product manager to join our team. Virgin Atlantic is on a journey to embrace the best of digital product strategy and is currently building a UX team to help lead that change within the business.
 
Reporting to the Head of UX, the Senior Digital Product Manager will be tasked with defining the product strategy across multiple touch points, to enable Virgin Atlantic to lead the way and differentiate our products. The role will require strong relationship development with our partners, to influence our technology roadmap and ensure that we are leveraging benefits across all journeys.
 
Alongside the everyday practice of running your product team, you'll act as a lead for the Product Management team. You'll support other product managers, help develop the team’s skills, guide decisions across all projects and embed the practice of good product strategy across all digital work.
 
This is a new role and part of an exciting expansion plan. This is a unique opportunity to help craft a new team with big plans, whilst delivering digital products for one of the world's most loved brands.

What you'll be responsible for

Crafting and managing roadmaps for a range of digital products, from strategic planning to optimisation activities
 
Engaging with business partners on all aspects of product development, including product vision definition, roadmap creation and business case creation
 
Working closely with our business partners (Virgin Atlantic and Delta) to plan and prioritise key initiatives, whilst aligning our digital roadmaps with business strategy
 
Building and championing business cases for developing new digital capabilities.
 
Evaluating sprints to ensure that all business benefits are being delivered and that remedial action is being taken if this is not the case
 
Partnering with Designers, Developers, Researchers and the Content team to oversee the launch and optimisation of releases.
 
Coaching product managers, offering continual support and feedback.
 
Seeing opportunities and turning them into something useful and delightful for our users
 
Key metrics for this role will be improvements in channel performance, conversion rates, customer feedback scores and channel share.

Who we're looking for

* You’ll have experience of delivering beautiful digital products, in an agile environment. You may be in-house, agency or freelance – we don’t mind.
 
* Experience of supporting, guiding product teams and line managing other product managers.
 
* A user centered product leader with exacting standards and a willingness to continually learn from the team and from our users.
 
* Team players who naturally collaborate and are comfortable working with a diverse group of people to build ingenious experiences.
 
* Self-starters who will actively seek ways to make the Virgin Atlantic experience both visually appealing and simple to use.
 
* The ability to clearly articulate not only what you’re doing, but more importantly why it’s of value to our customers and business.
 
* You’ll be well versed in the usual product strategy techniques (prioritisation, backlog management, writing product visions etc.) and always happy trying out new methodologies.
