In a nutshell

As an Adviser - Training Planning you will be the focal point for the planning of ground training, including initial, conversion, command and recurrent ground training ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will also ensure the efficient planning and assignment of pilot ground and simulator duties in accordance with Virgin Atlantic (VAA) / Regulatory requirements.

You will help craft and develop the training plan based on Establishment outputs, ensuring the plan is robust and entered accurately in to the Jeppesen system on time. In addition to the above, you will handle training planning queries and supporting both Planning and Pre-ops with solutions. Accountable for communicating with the pilot training teams to ensure training is delivered efficiently taking in to account bids, preferences and fatigue factors.

Day to day

Planning simulator requirements based on demand, ensuring timely confirmation with providers

Monitoring and planning of recurrent training based on expiry date

Allocation of trainees to the most suitable (qualified) trainer

Jeppesen / rosters populated with accurate planned roster details

Ensuring an equitable distribution of training duties that meet contractual obligations, and considers trainer bid/preference satisfaction

Working with third party training providers (internal and external) to ensure effective training delivery

Booking of Simulators and Flying Training Device's, Classrooms and equipment etc as required

About you

To succeed in this position, you will have previous experience in an airline operational area and have had exposure to large training / planning requirements. An ambassador for the brand,  you will have a good understanding of VAA/Regulatory training requirements coupled with the exposure of previously holding a planning / crew logistics role before.
An analytical thinker, with a methodical approach to your work, you will have an understanding of planning process and roster planning systems. You'll be a natural communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence your stakeholders. If the above sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
