As a leader within the Business Resilience function, you will provide strategic leadership of Virgin Atlantic (VAA) crisis management team to respond to any event that could disrupt our operations, customers or people. This will put you very much at the forefront of our operations planning processes.
A driver of process, you will have a broad cross functional remit to ensure every part of our organisation can respond to major events (both operational and non-operational events).
We are looking for experience and confidence in decision-making under challenging and stressful circumstances to reach outcomes on operational, commercial and financial issues arising during non-routine operations.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a wealth of experience in an operational environment coupled with knowledge in other areas e.g. commercial, customer and compliance would be advantageous.
A strong commercial awareness, the ability to see “the big picture” and capability to mediate to reach agreed outcomes are desirable.
To succeed in this role you will need to be a confident collaborator and be comfortable working within tight deadlines and pressure, with all areas of our business.
