We have an exciting opportunity for a Leader to spearhead our global Food & Beverage proposition: From the ground to the galley, every year we serve nearly 6 million customers via our 11 Clubhouses and 22,000 flights.
As Senior Manager Food & Beverage you'll lead a team to flawlessly deliver, improve and innovate our food and drink offering. You'll balance the need to be financially prudent, operationally efficient and commercially astute (within safety & quality standards) while exceeding customer satisfaction.

Day to day

You will develop our cohesive and unique food & beverage proposition (encompassing food style, food characteristic, menu profile, menu print, sustainability programme and communication strategy)
Owning the supplier relationships and performance management you will be accountable for the delivery of an effective and efficient Catering Inflight Services operation
Maintaining an external focus, you’ll represent Virgin as cutting edge and keep a keen eye on external trends across the catering and food retail industry
Driving culinary excellence, you will support Customer Experience(CX) input to the development of the Virgin Atlantic food vision and into a detailed concepts and a strategic plan
You will deliver positive and inspirational leadership to the Food & Beverage Team, promoting strong employee morale and cultivating a culture of high performance within your team, across the organisation and with our third party suppliers
You’ll ensure the continued delivery of a safe and secure operation in terms of security, food safety and all aspects of supplier activity
Building and implementing the Food & Beverage commercial plans you’ll maximise value from spend to improve the customer offer
You’ll own the budget performance including provision of business case or investment proposals to support customer investment strategy

About you

Awareness of current food trends and leading cultural cuisine.
A stimulating communicator and dynamic storyteller you'll bring ideas to life. You'll be a credible influencer who can quickly build close partnerships with internal and external counterparts. Constructively managing and influencing whilst maintaining collaborative relationships is key.
Experience of supplier relationship management including a clear understanding of the impact of culture.
As well as previous successful delivery of significant transformation activity through both direct and third party contracts, you'll have extensive project/programme management experience.
This is a global role, therefore ability to travel at short notice is essential.
