In a nutshell


As Manager Brand Partnerships you will manage and work reciprocally with our media sales agnecy who generate ancillary revenue for the airline across various customer journey touchpoints, primarily in the form of media sales for Vera via our In-flight entertainment and magazine. You will actively offer improved cost neutral customer enhancements and/or cost savings by developing alliances with significant brands across other on-board assets and Clubhouses via brand partnerships.

You will...

  • Align the Virgin Atlantic strategy for brand alliance and ancillary revenue projects with the Media agency. Crafting successful briefs to form basis for agreed annual plan/calendar of events.
  • All briefs will include relevant information to inform Leadership Team that every activation meets one or some of the required criteria: customer enhancement, revenue generation, cost savings, press/social media activity.
  • Monitoring the monthly bookings to assess brands, approve creative & have sight of Vera ad positioning versus revenue, ensuring all financial documents are up to date and accurate.
  • Work with pertinent managers to gain final sign off on customer facing collateral.
  • Produce quarterly invoices for all revenue.
  • Operating closely with internal partners to identify, filter and assess innovative and dynamic new sources of media and customer engagement.
  • Evaluate new and diverse advertising ideas and media to be implemented across a range of customer touch points.
  • Lead projects and handle promotions that involve other areas of the business.
  • Ensure dedicated and effective communication with all departments which impact the media portfolio.

  • Consistent track record in sales or marketing (ideally media)

  • Self-management skills and strong organisation skills enabling you to thrive under pressure
  • Using your excellent communication skills and aptitude to influence others, you will have the ability to clearly articulate not only what you did, but more importantly why you did it.
  • Effective data analysis to implement change.
  • Confidence in your dexterity to make sound decisions
