In a nutshell

In this role you’ll be responsible for the management and maintenance of pilot and cabin crew rosters from the date of publication until handover to Crewing at minus three days to the live operation. You’ll also identify and rectify operational risk whilst ensuring maximum efficiency is achieved from pilot and cabin crew resource.
A stickler for detail, you’ll enjoy working within the boundaries of regulatory compliance, safety and operational requirements. You’ll also thrive on ensuring all roster changes comply with company and industrial agreements and are aligned to fatigue risk management principles.
You’ll focus on finding efficiencies when re-planning training for pilots and cabin crew, which you’ll complete in accordance with VAA and regulatory requirements whilst minimising disruption to the training programme and flight operations.

Day to day

Effective utilisation of crew resources to ensure correct crew compliment and maximum efficiency on the roster

Building/amending trips following A/C changes

Advanced notification of Pilot and Cabin Crew Duty changes

Identification and escalation of operational risk on the roster

Maintaining the integrity of the Pilot & Cabin Crew training plan, re-planning any training requirements where required

Regular interaction with Flight Operations Training & Standards team and Cabin Crew Training departments

Investigating and responding to Pilot & Cabin Crew queries on training issues

Proactive resolution of customer queries and feedback

Effective handover to Crewing highlighting any operational risk

About you

As a Pre-Ops planner, You will have a good understanding of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Flight Time Limitations (FTL's) and have previous experience of working in Crewing or Pre-Ops. Ideally, you will additionally have previous experience of pilot training requirements.

You'll also have a working knowledge of Crew Planning/ Crew Management system and You have the ability to prioritise, enjoy handling several things at once and use your own initiative to solve problems. As a strong communicator you will be comfortable liaising with colleagues at different levels across the organisation. If the above sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
