In a nutshell

In this role, you will provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective HR administrative service to the company whilst also providing day to day advice on numerous HR issues in accordance with our company policies.

Day to day

Providing administrative support to the People Leadership Team, Employee Relations Team and HR Business Partners.

Providing varied information to departments for internal transfers, joiners and leavers. e.g. salaries, grade, date of joining, date of leaving, sickness, leave accrual and annual entitlement etc.

Preparing correspondence regarding changes to terms and conditions of employment, e.g. changes to working hours, act ups, secondments, probations, salary changes, flexible working, flight deck increments, engineering tiers, shift pay etc.

Carrying out employee data analysis e.g. investigation of salary anomalies, under and overpayments.

Coordinating the distribution of long service awards.

Providing an accurate referencing service requested by external clients. e.g. Financial, work and DSS references.

You will input and amend personnel records into Oracle for maternity & parental leave absences, changes to working hours, job title changes, act-ups, secondments, upload of any correspondence sent etc within a specified time frame.

Administering the maternity process for all pregnant members of staff, which includes announcement letters, commencement letters, issue new return to work contracts and administer parental leave upon their return.

Arranging suitable ground placements for flying crew, by identifying their skills and experience as well as their physical limitations and calculate ground placement allowances.

Providing general administrative support within HR which includes ad hoc letters, filing, photocopying, faxing etc.

Administering enrolments and amendments to the company medical /pension scheme.

Calculating annual leave entitlements and assisting managers with this process.

Answer queries from the business and provide information on HR policies and procedures and dealing with telephone, email, fax, post and face to face enquiries from line management and staff, efficiently and confidentially.

About you

Educated to GCSE level, you'll have recent experience in an administration based role with strong letter writing skills. You'll need to be confident and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and data entry, have excellent attention to detail and be able to plan and prioritise your own workload. Your previous experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines will help you in this role.

An excellent team player, you'll be able to build relationships quickly at all levels throughout the company and have excellent customer service skills.
