An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small and diverse In-flight Services team as an In-flight Services Supply Chain & Product Executive.
 
Reporting to the Senior Manager In-flight Services Product Supply Chain, you'll lead all activity relating to the design, manufacturing and shipping of In-flight, Clubhouse and Airport stationary, print products and equipment initiatives.
 
Working with a range of UK and International colleagues, from designers to manufacturers, shipping agents, cargo carriers and logistics providers you will specialise in the optimisation of manufacturing processes. You'll take ownership of ensuring products are both fit for purpose and cost effective, whilst ensuring sustainability and environmental considerations are at the heart of each stage of the supply chain process.
 

Day to day

Playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our strategy your key accountabilities will fall into the following areas:
 
Lead new product development from vision to delivery: You will translate visions into products and representing In-flight Services for any activity related to product development.
 
Design and implement robust product development plans: You will ensure appropriate phasing and transitioning of stock levels, you'll formulate smooth and timely product launches. Ensuring minimal obsolescence write off costs and distributions charges.
 
Sustainability: You'll undertake due diligence to ensure that the suppliers and factories are aligned with required ethical and environmental policies.
 
Work with the Equipment & Logistics Manager: You will handle the performance of all supply-chain suppliers, protecting our commercial interests at every opportunity.
 
Safety: You'll ensure the delivery of a safe and secure operation in terms of security, food safety and all aspects of supplier activity.
 
Ensure access to the widest range of products: You will lead the interaction between our Design and Development teams and the equipment supply community.

About you

You will have experience in the design and manufacturing of catering products or high volume stationary items. And a working knowledge of Incoterms, IPR and VAT governance are pivotal. A CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
 
An excellent communicator, confident presenting to all audiences, you'll have a background in establishing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
 
A highly organised, agile and autonomous worker, you'll be able to work to tight deadlines and deliver multiple simultaneous projects/contracts.
 
An analytical decision-maker you will drive continuous improvement and work to LEAN principles.
