In a nutshell

In this role, you will be responsible for minimising revenue leakage and maximizing cash flow by ensuring compliance with fares and ticketing rules and other agreements. You'll do this by ensuring that all passenger tickets are suitably audited and that all transactions to/from other airlines are correct. You will work closely with Commercial to ensure that the commercial aspirations of contracts are reflected in reality.

You will also develop and deliver process and systems improvements in-house and optimize the use of third party suppliers with the aim of maximizing processing automation and delivering any other efficiency initiatives. In addition there is an expectation that this role will be at the forefront of testing and delivery of major projects to deliver required revenue system changes for new product launches.

Day to day

Being part of the Revenue Accounts leadership team, you will directly assist the team by taking a hands-on approach ensuring that there is a fair distribution of work. You will lead by example and participate in larger team management e.g. cross team coaching, addressing Staff Survey concerns, etc.

In conjunction with the Manager - Revenue Accounts managing staff members with clear and regular communications and ongoing performance reviews, ensuring development in their roles.

Managing the whole resource requirement for the team, both internal and external third parties. Ensuring that any third party suppliers are managed according to contract and that the contract is fit for purpose. Continuously improving systems and processes in order to maximize throughput.

You will minimise revenue leakage/maximize cash flow by ensuring that all VAA and other airline transactions are processed, audited and, for interline, invoiced in a timely and accurate fashion.

Ensuring revenue through a robust controls and checks framework and supporting Financial Accounts in ensuring that the financials in Oracle accurately reflect the current state of processing.

Working collaboratively with the Network and Alliances and Revenue Management teams to ensure that the commercial intent of agreements is (and/or can be) reflected in reality. Highlighting any financial impacts of these agreements.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have in-depth revenue accounting systems and process expertise and experience in working in a high volume transactional processing environment.

You will have the ability to prioritise and balance your own workload with team management tasks. As an effective leader, you will have a demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and communicate with your team effectively. You’ll also need strong interpersonal skills enabling collaborative working at all levels. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are also key along with good presentation skills.
