In this role you will provide an efficient and effective Payroll service to all Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays employees. You will ensure that all employees are paid accurately, on time and in line with HMRC legislation providing clear and consistent advice on any Payroll related queries.
You will take responsibility for the input, validation and authorisation of all permanent and temporary payroll changes, thoroughly audit input to ensure accuracy, process monthly downloads and make manual adjustments to pay as required. End to end processing for Starters and Leavers.
Preparing complex calculations including arrears, overtime, unpaid leave, maternity payments ensuring that the correct legislation is applied.
Reviewing monthly reports and processing all reconciliations required at the end of the month, carrying out checks to ensure accuracy.
Preparing and setting up monthly payments to employees via BACS and to third party providers.
With a full understanding of the UK PAYE system, you will be reconciling all payments prior to submitting to HMRC, carry out Salary Sacrifice eligibility checks and all statutory payments in line with legislation SSP, SMP etc including processing Court Orders, Tax Code Changes, Tax Credits and Student Loans as required.
