In a nutshell

Within this role you’ll implement, manage and develop airline partnerships which develop Virgin Atlantic's network reach and produce incremental revenue through feed. In addition you’ll work with the Head of Alliances to develop and communicate Alliance strategy.

Day to day

Set targets to ensure we achieve our fair market share, or higher, for each traffic flow and build action plans to ensure targets can be delivered.


Report partner performance and agree actions to ensure strong performance for both parties.


Implement new partnerships and progress existing partnerships.


Work with identified partners to build relationships and agree plans to implement or expand partnership activity.


Work with internal stakeholders (Pricing, Technology, Sales, Marketing and others) to ensure we implement on time and on budget.


Implement and maintain the operational and customer related performance of codeshare partnerships.


Maintain relationships with partners through regular communication and, when necessary, through review meetings.


Assist in developing, motivating and coaching the team to improve engagement and performance. 

About you

Typically of graduate calibre or equivalent you'll need to have demonstrable analytical ability. We'’re particularly interested to hear from candidates who have proven understanding in airline commercial dynamics and in departments such as such as Revenue Management, Revenue Accounting, Commercial Systems, Sales and Strategy.

With strong interpersonal skills, you’'ll be an effective communicator with strong influencing ability and negotiation skills. You’'ll have the ability to build and maintain strong and credible relationships with a diverse range of people and possess. A understanding of airline systems would be desirable.
