As a team we provide 24/7 365 day on call cover but this is managed on a rota basis between the staff members outside the core working hours

In a nutshell

Operating as the primary remote support to circa 100 Retail Stores across the UK, you'll be working as part of a customer focused support team committed to delivering a quality service to the business community, operating in a dynamic environment where our technical infrastructure must continually evolve to meet the demands of the business while maintaining consistent performance and reliability

Day to day

Resolve  incidents and proactively identify solutions to known errors or unreported system issues minimise any loss of service to the business.

Diagnose reported faults so that the relevant internal or external support resources are notified and subsequently manage the escalation and updating of affected users as required.

Work with the team to ensure that the systems supported operate within agreed service levels.  Record, measure and report the availability and performance of internal and external systems. This is a key requirement for the business in terms of providing excellence in the provision of support services and problem management.

Assist in the purchasing process of Hardware & Software

Completion of morning checks & End Of Day checks

Provide advice & resolution on the correct use of supported systems

Provide Active Directory, Airwatch, ONelan and exchange administration.

Implement services and equipment to existing technical standards and deployment methods.

Participate in training and development activities intended to build skills needed to improve service delivery and take on support of new systems and associated procedures.

 

About you

Were looking for an experienced Technology Service Desk Retail Engineer who takes ownership of successful resolution of incidents and the delivery of standard services within that environment. Wed like you to have proven abilities in Active Directory, Airwatch and OneLan & Exchange administration with hardware & software installations and diagnostics skills.  
Experience in Avaya telecom, Altiris suite and Thin Client would be advantageous but not essential.
