In a nutshell


Responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating manpower planning requirements and crew headcount forecasts to ensure Flight Operations and Cabin Services can make informed decisions on future Pilot and Cabin Crew recruitment/promotion plans.

Ensure manpower modelling is robust, optimised and validated through productivity indicators and scenario analysis. Ability to assess and recommend changes to working practices that deliver productivity improvements and/or cost reduction.

Day to day

In conjunction with the pairing and data analysts ensure pairing plans are built and updated to process days and MBTR requirements linking to establishment.
Review productivity, head count, FTE available, leave requirements, standby assumption to further enhance model output. Support and influence the pairing and data analysts to provide relevant data that drives establishment accuracy and realistic assumptions.
Develop and communicate explanations, summaries and KPI’s for establishment requirement levels based on productivity, aircraft utilisation and flying hours, training demand and cost.
Calculate future FTE available for pilot and cabin crew based on agreed assumptions and expected activities such as commands, promotions or fleet changes.
Validation of productivity outputs to support FTE available assumptions and regular audits of assumptions in conjunction with finance, flight operations and cabin services.
In conjunction with Roster Production, Pre-Ops and Crewing develop KPI’s that support assumptions and decision making, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities and achievements.

About you

This role requires Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems. You will have a high attention to detail whilst also being able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’ll use your advanced Excel skills to analyse and manipulate data, providing insight to your findings within regular establishment meetings.

Ideally you would be educated to degree level or equivalent, with previous exposure within Crew Logistics systems and productivity.
