In a nutshell

In this role, you will be accountable for helping shape and manage the delivery of all aspects of Virgin Atlanticís attraction programme. This includes identifying quality direct customers, acquiring members into our loyalty programme Flying Club and growing our credit card attraction and retail spend for the UK market. Youíll do all of this by defining, developing and delivering multi-channel, data driven marketing activity to meet attraction and onboarding business goals.

Day to day

Working within the CRM Management team, you will work closely with the Senior Manager CRM & Analytics to develop the attraction and onboarding strategy which supports our Plan to Win. 

 
You will be responsible for managing the effective execution of the strategy, including insight/data requirements, content development, audience/channel, variations, budget, reporting and leading and coaching a team of CRM Executives.
 
To achieve success you will need to work collaboratively with other members of the CRM and Marketing team, Digital, Loyalty, our in-house design team and strategic CRM agency. 
 
In this role you will be representing the views of the business, encouraging and supporting innovative solutions and effectively challenging our in-house and external agencies thinking to help deliver best in class marketing.
 
You will be responsible for all current attraction channels as well as sourcing new channels, providing business cases for approval and overseeing implementation.
  
Ensuring that budgets are approved and that activity is delivered to budget and providing regular budget updates to the Senior Manager and, if necessary managing the process of re-forecasting if savings are sought.
 
Playing a key role working alongside the Manager - CRM Planning & Insight in the day to day measurement and evaluation of our communications activity and its effectiveness at driving metrics, refining and evolving plans accordingly.
 
Providing Credit Card communications targets, card approval levels with campaign results. Working with each department to make any necessary adjustments to plans in order to meet our targets.
  
Embody the Virgin Atlantic brand values, lead and mentor the CRM team, provide regular coaching and feed into the CRM Executive ongoing development  to get the best out of each team member.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in CRM / loyalty communications, ideally working with a big international brand, preferably in travel. With a CIM Diploma or degree (or equivalent), you should have credit card or financial services marketing experience, although this is not essential.

With a strong knowledge and experience in digital and print marketing. Youíll have a proven track record of working with CRM and data agency partners from strategy to customer segmentation, to briefing and delivery of plans against agreed targets.
