This is an exciting role that aims to raise the bar and maximise Virgin Atlantics digital development team through leading edge development practice and continuous optimisation efforts, driving the business forward, providing thought leadership on all things regarding the technology aspect of our front end, enabling Virgin Atlantic to lead the way and differentiate our products, service through world class digital experience across mobile, app and web.
You will focus on running and optimising all of the front Virgin Atlantic digital touch points, specifically AEM sites. You'll be simplifying and improving the customer journey through technical optimisation, and continuous technology improvements. You will use your first-hand experience in design and development of templates, components, dialogues, widgets and workflows and valuable experience developing components for Touch-optimized and Classic UI, to drive forwards our digital ecosystem.
As well as managing the day to day development of the digital channels you will also need to grow and lead a team along with developing a strong platform strategy.
You will act as a liaison between multiple Virgin Atlantic teams (Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Management) and be responsible for all aspects of the front end and the platforms that run and support it.
Prioritising the optimisation programme, setting and exceeding conversion rate improvement targets, focussing on those campaigns and tests that drive the highest revenue improvements.
Integrating all of our customer data sources into the ecosystem and leading on the customer facing GDPR initiatives.
You will set up and run the Adobe Marketing Cloud platform integrating key technical systems and processes.
Developing the reference architecture of peripheral products and services and acting as the joint owner of the API framework.
Linking key data sources (MS Dynamics, Social, Marketing Databases etc) and setting up Service Levels with key suppliers and departments.
You will set up and run the daily/weekly/monthly technical sprint cycle and manage technical defects and incidents along with managing backlogs.
Managing Digital release activities and investigating incidents in order to drive operational resolutions. In addition, you will manage the operational effectiveness of digital channels on day to day basis utilising Real time/Daily/Weekly Performance Monitoring.
Leading a team of highly skilled developers across a number of platforms, you will also set up and lead the Adobe Marketing Platform as well as the Digital Design Authority in partnership with technology and Delta.
Mapping out, developing and testing specific marketing technology tools and services, creating a clear digital technology strategy allowing us to keep an eye on the future at the same time as leading in the now.
Mapping out and developing the API framework allowing internal and external consumption of the Virgin Atlantic Services.
