Hours: 4 week rota covering the following shift patterns:  

Week A 08:00-16:30 Mon-Fri

Week B 09:30-18:00 Mon-Fri

Week C 08:00-16:30 Mon-Sat

Week D 09:00-17:30Mon-Fri (wed off in lieu)

In a nutshell

You'll be accountable for maximizing the commercial value generated from available inventory (hold capacity) and delivering a cost effective ULD management model to both Passenger and Cargo teams worldwide. You'll model best business practice with key stakeholders (Operational and Sales Teams), Offshore Team management, process efficiency through constant review and analysis of KPI data. You'll forecast demand of ULD and Ancillary equipment to influence purchasing and online station budget levels by utilizing passenger numbers and cargo profile.

Day to day

Take responsibility for efficient utilization of Offshore Team and on time / accuracy performance by monitoring, quality checking and reporting on all offshore processes.

 

Challenge the Offshore team by providing ongoing feedback ensuring that the processes are understood and escalating to the internal WNS Quality Team where necessary

 

Keep all business guides updated, accessible to the business via SharePoint and distribute updates to key stakeholder groups.

 

Maintain and control the availability of ULD stock for both Cargo and Passenger Operations worldwide though collaborative working with the Revenue Management, Operations and Load Planning teams, empty movements and use of other airlines capacity.

 

Analyse data on damaged equipment to ensure turnaround times are met by repair agents and to hold Cargo Agents and GHAs accountable for the profile of damage while equipment is in their care.

 

Allocate and publish the configuration of equipment to be used on each flight departure, based on aircraft type, passenger number, cargo product and best cargo build Maintain and recommend best practice for equipment released to Cargo Agents.

 

Track and maintain ULD assets and asset data through use of the offshore team, automated messaging and engaging with stakeholders.

 

Agree prioritisation best practice with key stakeholders, then through post operation analysis, ensure cargo flight plans are produced on time and to agreed standards, in order to minimise the commercial impact of offloads and to maximise uplift.

 

Ensure all bid price and capacity based accept/reject decisions are made within set tolerances and in a timely fashion to maximise the commercial value from the available inventory.

 

Manage short term (last two weeks) cargo capacity, through embargo reviews, bid price updates and support customer requests for exceptional shipments, to ensure maximum opportunity for sale and minimal disruption.

About you

To apply you'll need to have a solid numerical background, commercial awareness, strong analytical skills & an awareness of some of the operational challenges of Air Cargo. You'll be confident in your decision making ability and have excellent all round PC skills including Excel and Word. You'll be a highly organised individual in order to prioritise your own workload effectively against some challenging deadlines.

 
It would be an advantage if you have some experience of Mercators SkyChain product, SQL and databases although this isn't essential.
