In a nutshell

In this role, you will take responsibility for providing accurate and timely management information and analysis. This will include but not be limited to an active role in month end Management Accounting and Reporting, annual Budgeting process and Reforecasting, as well as support Long Term Planning and financial modelling. You will actively challenge and influence the business and assist in finding solutions to financial issues.
 
You will also assist the wider Finance team to drive increased business support including process change and the delivery of financial and non-financial targets, working closely with key stakeholders and across directorates.

Day to day

Finance Business Support & Analysis
 
Provide input and challenge decision making using Financial Information.
 
Financial Reporting
 
Drive and monitor progress towards achievement of targets. Work closely with the Finance Business Partners to provide concise analysis of financial performance.
 
Financial Planning & Forecasting
 
Provide input & support to FBP for the financial strategy behind the Business Units plans.
 
Financial Process Control & Appraisal
 
Lead initiatives with both the business units and the wider Finance team to establish effective financial and reporting controls & robust processes. 

About you

With experience in the provision of finance support in a commercial environment and working towards a relevant professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), you will have sound knowledge of budgetary control, business/financial planning and established strong technical accounting skills.

A proven capability to prioritise work, work under pressure and operate to tight deadlines as well as the ability to devise and follow through on profit improvement programmes is also required. A strong influencer, you will have great written and verbal communication skills and an ability to distil complex information into clear messages.
