You’ll be joining our E-Commerce team  at our brand new Virgin Atlantic HQ at an exciting time of growth and innovation. Fresh out the other side of a big systems migration project, and with a bold and brave digital strategy at the heart of our business roadmap, your insight will be key to our success.

We need someone who’ll help us make intelligent, data driven decisions that directly improve the way our customers experience Virgin Atlantic on their Desktop and Devices.

You’ll be our go-to for our digital commercial information, delivering actionable insights to increase and drive our website performance.

Day to day

• Maintaining, monitoring and evolving our Digital Commercial Information strategy

• Prioritising tasks based on where you can drive insight to attribute the largest financial benefits to the airline.

• Servicing information requirements, covering Ecommerce metrics across both mobile and desktop environments.

• Working with stakeholders around the business to add context to analysis and maximise the action arising from recommendations.

• Combining your own analysis with that of third party agencies and other VAA teams to identify optimisation opportunities, support decisions and help determine strategic direction for the Virgin Atlantic website and other digital touch points.

• Helping deliver Virgin Atlantic’s Digital KPIs to the Commercial Leadership team in the UK and overseas.

• Proactively monitoring and communicate trends, looking for opportunities to optimise marketing campaigns and conversion performance.

• Ensuring Virgin Atlantic has consistent insight into business and campaign performance at every level: by partner, by market, by segment, channel and by product.

• Be our go-to person across the commercial teams for support regarding analytical tools and reporting environments, including Business Objects, Adobe Analytics/Target, Tableu, Ensighten and Clicktale.

• Owning and training your colleagues on existing and new analytics resources, dashboard creation and appropriate usage.

About you

This role might be for you if you’re a bit of a number expert, highly analytical and enjoy problem solving. As a data demon and Excel wizard, you’ll find ways of bringing statistics to life that will tickle even the fluffiest technophobe.

In addition, you’ll have:

• A sound grasp of Adobe analytics and other reporting tools
• Expert knowledge of Excel and know your way around Access.
• Some experience of database query language such as SQL
• A good knowledge of relational databases (we use Oracle)
• Some previous experience of working in a digital technology environment

Extra awesome:

• You have a degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science
• You can make sense of technical documentation
